They quoted me $800 for a break and rotor replacement, which I needed. Since it sounded high to me I called around, I was quoted $348-440 by other shops I called. Honest-1 was willing to almost price match my quote from les schwabb ($423) but I wasn't interested. They discounted the oil change they'd already done for me, which I appreciated. As nice as they were I don't feel like I can trust them so we won't be back. My advice is to always get a second opinion, especially if you're a women. Unfortunately many mechanics will try to over charge us because they think we don't know better. In reply to your 8/15/18 question: Yes I have the right shop it'll be under my married name. Look for repair order 031839, 2006 Toyota Prius. I'd be happy to post a redacted copy. In reply to your 8/17/18 response: Beats me, I cant speak for those folks. I know, hypothetically speaking, it wouldn't be tough for someone to get a bunch of family or friends to write positive reviews for their business. Like I mentioned before, I have no complaints about the oil change. I feel responsible, however, to warn others in my community when a highly rated establishment seems to be demonstrating bias. I sure hope it was just a one time mix up... or a teaching moment if its been happening for awhile.
OK, Ty I did find you, I do not show that we made you a quote, from the brake inspection report we show your brake on left front was metal on metal, If calipers were needed, pads and rotors that wouldve been 642.00, if just pads and rotors that wouldve been 281.91, I dont know where the confusion came from. We treat all people the same, male or female. 65% of our clients are female. If one would rear the reveiws, 90% are 5 star... we will be here if theres anything we can do for you in the future.
